Simon Cowell Unites 50+ Stars For Grenfell Tower Fundraiser, Inspires World With Simon & Garfunkel Classic.

On June 14, a 24-story, 220-foot-high apartment tower went up in flames in West London. 5 people were confirmed dead and 74 more are missing, presumed dead.

In the wake of such a terrible tragedy, we’ve shared stories of bravery, heroism, compassion, and kindness from Londoners. But now the rest of the world is responding to the tragedy with a message of unity and brotherhood, in the form of the classic Simon & Garfunkel song “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

The 1970 hit just got an update from over 50 of the world’s biggest recording artists for a special Grenfell Tower charity single.

The song was recorded in a studio just half a mile from the Grenfell Tower and was organized by Simon Cowell.

Money raised by the record and from the donations page will be used by The London Community Foundation to help those affected by the tragic fire.

One Twitter user posted the song’s lyrics (excluding the two rap portions), noting which artist sang each line.

The song’s lyrics are especially poignant in the wake of this tragedy, and the message is one we all need to hear.
